1. Residence in Hostels is a privilege and not a right. Since accommodation in hostels is limited, YMCA Hostel Lahore may therefore not be able to provide accommodation to all applicants.

2. All residents seeking admission in the hostel shall submit an affidavit/undertaking to abide by these regulations along with the admission form.

3. Seats will be awarded on merit. Students with excellent academic record, enjoying good reputation in terms of discipline, dealing with fellow students and cooperation with University authorities will be given preference. Working/Non Working women will be judged upon feedback from their employers/guardians.

4. Residents seeking fresh admission/readmission to a hostel, shall apply to the concerned warden, who shall recommend their applications to the Administrators if she considers it desirable. The admission form costs Rs. 500/- and can be obtained via official contact number on the website or through YMCA Mall Road premises at the reception. The admission form and the required documents should be emailed to “contact@ymcahostellhr.com”. 

5. The Administrator/Warden has the right to refuse admission to a resident whose past record in the hostel is not satisfactory.

6. After admission to a hostel, the resident shall come under the disciplinary control of the hostel management.

7. Each boarder shall get hostel card two days after the due date of hostel admission and shall be bound to abide by the instructions given on the card and listed in this Rules & Regulation Policy. Each boarder will also be required to sign up to the hostel fingerprint system for entry and exit into the hostel premises at the time of admission confirmation.

8. A boarder who fails to turn up within seven days of the allotment of a hostel seat or deliberately leaves it without the knowledge of the warden shall forfeit her seat.

9. Hostels once allotted can only be changed with the permission of the Deputy Administrator/Associate Administrator/Administrator, after obtaining no objection certificate from wardens concerned. Rooms in the hostel can be changed with the permission of the hostel warden.

10. Residents may be permitted to leave the hostels after obtaining clearance certificate from the respective warden counter signed by the Administrator.

11. Every long-term resident (stay more than 3 months) shall pay hostel dues per month and deposit an advance of 1 month’s dues in advance along with 1 month’s security at the time of admission. The security amount shall be re-imbursed at the time of end of the hostel admission contract upon provision of clearance certificate duly signed by the hostel warden and clerk.

12. Every short-term resident (stay less than 3 months) shall pay hostel dues in advance at the time of admission.

13. Mess dues if any shall be charged from the students at the time of collecting dues from long-term and short-term residents.

14. Dues are subject to changes and with a ten percent increase annually.
